Position Summary

We’re seeking a seasoned trauma therapist to join our Kamloops-based team. This role is ideal for a clinician with advanced trauma training and a warm, grounded presence. The position requires availability for in-person sessions in Kamloops. We’re looking for someone who wants to do meaningful work in a practice that values clinical freedom, ethical excellence, trauma-focused relational care, and co-creation of a collaborative workplace. This is a full-time independent contractor role suited for clinicians who are prepared to maintain a minimum caseload of 20 clients per week, with openness to expanding their caseload as capacity allows.

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience in treating complex PTSD, single-incident trauma, developmental and relational trauma, dissociative processes, and attachment-related disturbances across the lifespan and other trauma-specialized experiences are welcome.
  • Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years/ 1000 direct client hours of post-graduate experience, with a significant portion focused on trauma therapy
  • Registration in good standing as an RCC, CCC, or RSW
  • Advanced training and/or certification in at least one trauma-specific modality (e.g., EMDR, IFS, Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor, Brainspotting, TIST, OEI, Hypnosis, etc.)
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical supervision as a cornerstone of ethical practice, professional growth, and trauma-informed care.
  • Excellent boundaries, documentation, and commitment to ethical care
  • A grounded, collaborative presence and willingness to participate in a growing team culture
  • Must be able to see a minimum average of 20 clients weekly.
  • Professional liability insurance is required, and general liability insurance is recommended.
  • Provide proof of and maintain up-to-date registrations, liability insurance, GST number, and city of Kamloops Business License

  • Compensation: This is a full-time contractor position with a hybrid revenue-sharing model that allows clinicians to keep more of the income they earn. Details will be shared with shortlisted candidates. $90.00-$135.00.00 per hour.
  • Worksafe BC Coverage
  • Paid group clinical supervision with BCACC-ACS (Approved Clinical Supervisor).
  • Flexibility to choose your work schedule, open to weekdays and/or weekends.
  • Expected start date August 1, 2025
